Spending her entire adult life in the hospitality industry it should not surprise you that Marla will always find a reason to entertain and host friends and family at Vineyard eleven whenever the moment allows. Her love for wine began to develop with her first role at Fairmont Hotels in the early 90’s.
While spending time with the hotel’s culinary team, sommelier, and food and beverage experts she began to deeply respect what was in her glass and wanted to seek knowledge behind the magic.
Marla has participated in corporate roadshows, “farm to table” dinners, breakout sessions “Talking wine ‘101’”, and group opening receptions, to name a few. With her background in corporate hospitality, Marla organically understands the attendees and can create spontaneous connections and sense of place for the group.

Marla will walk you and your colleagues through their family's journey on how they made their “dream” became a reality to own and operate a vineyard and winery. The experience will ensure that each attendee enjoys an interactive pairing of small pours to include Rosé of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and a side by side comparison of two Pinot Noir vintages.
Speaking to groups about wine is unique to her small boutique winery. Marla has made a strong focus on working with corporate events in many ways. The one that she finds most rewarding is speaking with groups of like-minded women and incorporating the tasting experience as part of it all.
She has found that making the speaking engagement organically interactive is what creates long-lasting memories for the group. During the experience, attendees feel inspired to share their own thoughts, ask their own questions and create conversations with colleagues, that in many cases, create new relationships. Creating comfortable places for people to engage with one another is something Marla is most proud of.
